02What we do

A box truck dispatcher on your side of the deal

You drive. We do the rest of the job that eats your day: searching, calling, haggling and paperwork. Here is everything included in the fee.

  • Load sourcing

Major load boards plus the brokers and shippers we already move box truck freight for.

  • Rate negotiation

Every load gets a counter. We know what a 26 ft partial should pay before we call.

  • Broker calls

We take the calls, chase the rate con and answer the 'is the driver loaded yet' texts.

  • Carrier packets

W-9, COI, authority letter and payment setup, filled once and sent to every new broker.

  • Check calls

Pickup, in-transit and delivery updates go to the broker so they stop calling you.

  • Reload planning

Before you deliver, we are already working the next load out of that zip code.

  • Detention and TONU

We document wait times and cancellations and claim the money brokers owe you.

  • Weekly report

Loads, gross, miles, rate per mile and the fee, in one sheet every week.

Dispatchers are available nights and weekends. See how our box truck dispatching works day to day.

03The fee

7% of gross. That is the whole price.

One flat rate for every box truck we dispatch, new authorities included. Fleets of 2 or more trucks pay 6% per truck (a limited-time rate).

  • No setup fee and no minimums
  • Invoiced weekly, only on loads you hauled. If you don't haul, you don't pay.
  • Month-to-month. Cancel with 30 days notice.

04Who we dispatch

Dispatch for 26 ft box trucks, and nothing else

Owner-operators and small fleets running 26 ft box trucks, and only 26 ft. Many of our carriers drive without a CDL, and many are on a new MC. Pick the setup closest to yours.

05A day on the desk

What box truck dispatching looks like at 5:30 a.m.

We rarely book a load that leaves you 200 miles from the next reload without a plan. Here is an example day.

See the whole day as a list
  1. 5:30 Board check before you wake up. We scan the overnight postings and the broker emails for freight out of your area and flag two options.
  2. 7:00 Pickup check call. You text 'loaded'. We send the broker the bills of lading photo and the ETA so they stop calling you.
  3. 9:30 Negotiating tomorrow. A broker posts a 6-pallet run at a low number. We counter with the miles, the liftgate charge and the deadhead behind the number.
  4. 12:00 Reload plan. You deliver at 2 p.m. near a busy freight market. We already have a partial lined up 18 miles away.
  5. 14:30 Detention clock. The receiver is slow. We timestamp arrival and notify the broker before detention starts, not after.
  6. 17:00 Your approval. We send the next load with pay, miles, weight and pickup time. You say yes, we book it.
  7. 19:00 Paperwork. Rate con signed, POD photo filed, load added to your weekly sheet.
  8. 21:00 Night desk. A late cancellation comes in. We claim the TONU and look for a replacement for the morning.

06How it works

Four steps to your first booked load

  1. 1

    Apply in 2 minutes

Your truck, your authority, your number. No documents needed to start.

  2. 2

    Set your rules

Lanes, home time, the lowest rate you will run and freight you will not touch.

  3. 3

    We find and negotiate

We work the boards and broker contacts and push every rate before we bring it to you.

  4. 4

    You approve, we book

Nothing gets booked until you say yes. Then we handle the paperwork and the broker.

07Freight

Freight box trucks actually get

Most box truck freight is partial and LTL, priced by the load more than by the mile. We book what fits your box, your weight and your license, and we say no to the rest.

We book

  • LTL and partial loads, 1 to 12 pallets
  • Expedited and time-critical regional runs
  • Final mile and store deliveries with a liftgate
  • Retail, e-commerce and trade show freight
  • Food and beverage, dry or refrigerated
  • Appliances, furniture and boxed goods

Where box truck loads come from

We pass on

  • Placarded hazmat
  • Anything over your legal weight or GVWR
  • Freight that needs a trailer or a different truck
  • Cash-on-delivery or off-the-books moves
  • Loads from brokers we cannot verify on FMCSA

We only dispatch 26 ft box trucks.

08Getting started

What you need to start

  • MC and USDOT numberActive for-hire authority. New MCs are welcome; we work with brokers who onboard new authorities.
  • Certificate of insuranceAuto liability and cargo. Brokers often ask for $1,000,000 liability and $100,000 cargo.
  • W-9For the business name on your authority.
  • Notice of assignment (NOA)Only if you use a factoring company, so brokers pay the right party.

How to pick a box truck dispatch service

There are a lot of box truck dispatch companies. Whoever you hire, the best ones pass this list:

  • The percentage is written down, and it is charged on gross load pay you actually haul
  • You approve every load, and nobody can force-dispatch your truck
  • They know box truck freight: partials, liftgate accessorials, dock height
  • They set up broker packets for you instead of handing you a list
  • Month-to-month terms with a short notice period
  • They tell you when the market is slow instead of promising loads

Questions owners ask

How do I find a dispatcher for a box truck?

Look for a dispatch service that works with box trucks specifically, puts its fee in writing, lets you approve every load and does not lock you into a long contract. Ask how they find freight, which brokers they already work with and how they handle new authorities. You can apply with us in about two minutes; a dispatcher calls you back to set up your lanes and minimum rate.

What box trucks do you dispatch?

26 ft box trucks only: CDL or non-CDL, with or without a liftgate, dry or refrigerated. If you run a smaller box truck or any other kind of equipment, we are not the right desk for you.

Do you work with a new MC authority?

Yes. Some brokers will not use a new authority, so we focus on the ones that do onboard new carriers and on freight where your setup fits. Expect the first few weeks to include more setup paperwork than driving.

Do I have to take every load you find?

No. We send you the load details, the pay and the miles. You approve it or pass. Nothing is booked under your MC without your yes.

How is the dispatch fee charged?

7% of the gross load pay for a single truck, 6% per truck for fleets of 2 or more trucks (limited-time rate). It is invoiced weekly and only on loads you hauled. If you don't haul, you don't pay. There is no setup fee.

Is there a contract?

It is month-to-month. You can cancel with 30 days notice. The dispatch agreement spells out the fee, what we do and how either side ends it.

Are you a freight broker?

No. We are a dispatch service that works for you, the carrier. Loads are booked under your authority with brokers and shippers, and they pay you directly or through your factoring company.

Can you guarantee loads or a weekly income?

No one honestly can. Box truck rates and volume move with the market, the season and your lanes. We can promise to work your truck every day, push every rate and tell you plainly when a lane is slow.

Put a dispatcher on your box truck

7% of gross for one truck, 6% for 2+ trucks (limited-time). No setup fee, month-to-month, 30 days notice to cancel. If you don't haul, you don't pay.
